Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Nikolaus Fleischhacker BSc MSC studierte Bau- und Umweltingenieurwissenschaften und Domotronik an der Universität Innsbruck und erwarb dort die akademischen Grade Bachelor of Science, Diplomingenieur, Master of Science und Doktor der technischen Wissenschaften.
Seit 2012 arbeitete er zunächst als Universitätsassistent am Arbeitsbereich für Massiv- und Brückenbau und ab 2015 unterichtete er als Senior Lecturer am Arbeitsbereich für Festigkeitslehre und Baustatik der Universität Innsbruck Baustatik.
Seit 2014 ist er Mitgesellschafter und CTO der FEN Sustain Systems GmbH (FEN Systems), die im Jahr 2016 zusammen mit großen Playern aus der Industrie und kleinen Startups das Green Energy Center Europe gegründete. Diese privatwirtschaftliche Initiative verfolgt seither das Ziel, "Brücken in eine grüne Zukunft" zu bauen. Aus diesem Zusammenhang ist 2018 die FEN Research GmbH hervorgegangen, der er seither als CEO und Leiter der beiden Forschungszentren „EWest“ und „HyWest“ vorsteht. Er ist damit federführend an national und international richtungsweisenden Forschungsprojekten, die dem Umbau des Energiesystems dienen, beteiligt. Zuletzt war er auch als Experte am europäischen Agenda-Prozess für grünen Wasserstoff tätig.
Dipl.-Ing. Dr. techn. Nikolaus Fleischhacker BSc MSC studied Civil and Environmental Engineering and Domotronics at the University of Innsbruck, where he obtained the degrees Bachelor of Science, Diplomingenieur, Master of Science and Doctor of Technical Sciences. Since 2012, he first worked as a university assistant at the Department of Concrete and Bridge Engineering and from 2015 he taught structural analysis as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Strength of Materials and Structural Engineering at the University of Innsbruck. Since 2014, he has been co-partner and CTO of the FEN Sustain Systems GmbH (FEN Systems), which founded the Green Energy Center Europe in 2016 together with major players from industry and small startups. Since then, this private-sector initiative has pursued the goal of building "bridges to a green future." In 2018, the FEN Research GmbH (FEN Research) emerged from this context, which he has since chaired as CEO and head of the two research centers "EWest" and "HyWest". He thus plays a leading role in nationally and internationally pioneering research projects that serve to reconstruct the energy system. Most recently, he was also involved as an expert in the European agenda process SRIA for green hydrogen.
